Last Tuesday was the most important day of my life in the wine business. Okay, I have only joined this world some months ago, but September 22nd was special. From 9am til 7pm we live broadcast for 10 hours the harvest from the vineyards surrounding our winery. The idea came from London, to show live in the big screen of the Boutique Wineries Tasting what was going on in our vineyards.
The big moment of the day occurred at 5pm, when I interacted with the people attending to a seminar about Social Media in Action. This moment was special. Ryan Opaz was in the other side of the line, leading the conference. And I was in the Douro feeling a bunch of people eager to know more about Quevedo and wine social media. They made same questions and I explained as much as I could. I’m sure some of them will come to the Douro valley during the next months. Others will hardly remember my name, but for me, in the little town of S. João da Pesqueira, was one of the funniest days of my life!
