The NV 10 Year Old White Port is a blend of Malvasia Fina (29%), Viosinho (24%), Gouveio (23%) and Moscatel Galego (15%), plus a dollop of Rabigato, bottled in January 2023 with 91 grams of residual sugar and a bar-top cork. Last year was the winery’s first bottling of a 10 Year white. This is the new follow-up. It is rather splendid. For a 10 Year, there is plenty of concentration and power both. It is focused and precise with a big finish. It’s just sweet enough to avoid being stern but dry enough to be balanced. The winery seems to touch all the bases here. These do not require aging and are made to drink on release, but they can certainly hold a reasonable time (likely more than indicated), if you must hold them.
