Winemaking Details
Viticulture:
The year 2015 was very atypical; there was a very cold and dry winter followed by an abnormally hot and dry spring and summer. Maturation was very slow, which forced us to wait a certain time before determining a sure date forthis harvest. The rain in the middle of September was helpful in completing the perfect grape maturation. Grapes from owned and sourced vineyards, hand-harvested.
Fermentation:
Grapes were destemmed, crushed and fermented on the native yeasts.
Aging:
Two years of aging in stainless steel tanks. Once most of the natural decantion is finished, this Port was moved to seasoned oak balseiro for another 18 months until bottling.
