Viticulture:
2020 was an unusually hot year in all seasons but with sufficient levels of precipitation, giving rise to good, albeit rapid, ripening. The harvest started in August and was short and quick, so that the grapes reached the ideal moment of maturation. Hand-harvested grapes from owned and sourced vineyards.
Fermentation:
Grapes were destemmed and crushed. Pre-fermentative skin maceration to enrich the aromas. Fermented on selected yeasts, followed by a full malolactic on the naturally occurring bacteria.
Winemaker:
Teresa Batista
This attractive wine is dominated by berry fruits and acidity. It is juicy and lightly tannic, with ripe cherry flavors to give a smoky edge. Drink from 2023.
