Viticulture:
The weather in 2023 can be defined as a hot and humid year. Average temperatures stayed above the long term average for most of the months until August. It was a generous year in terms of rain, with December 2022 and June clearly above the average. This trend for above average rain extended to the harvest time, which was not very welcomed by us.
Fermentation:
Grapes were pressed whole-clusteres and fermented on selected yeast.
Aging:
Kept in stainless steel tank until the bottling with frequent battonage for 3 months.
Winemakers:
Ricardo Sampaio and Mariana Rosária
