In each edition of “Q”, we select our best grapes from the local varieties. For this harvest we picked 52% of Touriga Nacional, 27% of Tinta Roriz, 16% of Touriga Franca and 4% of Tinta Amarela. We harvested the grapes when the berries were firm, succulent and full of aroma, creating a generous and balanced wine to accompany a rich table in the celebration of great deeds with family and friends.

Viticulture:
The 2021 growing season was marked by a rainy winter, followed by a mild spring and summer. The harvest began in August and extended over a long period, with cool and rainy conditions influencing the grapes’ maturation.
Fermentation:
The grapes were fully destemmed before undergoing fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 15 days at a controlled temperature of 22-24ºC. During the first 7 days, daily delestage (rack and return) was performed to enhance extraction.
Aging:
The wine was aged for 16 months in second and third-year 500L French oak barrels, with two rackings during this period to further refine its structure and complexity.
