Viticulture:
the Winter of 2022 was hot and dry followed by an unusually dry and hot spring and summer. There were some heat waves that put the vines under stress. These heat waves are not new for the Douro vines, we may remember that the fantastic 2017 season recorded a few heat waves with temperatures above 40ºC for several days. Rain and lower temperatures in early September helped the vine to recover and to take the ripeness in great conditions until the end. The harvest started on September 24th.
