The 2020 Oscar’s Rosé is all Touriga Nacional, very dry and coming in at 13.9% alcohol. With that classic pale salmon color, excellent balance and overall refinement, this seems very distinguished at a nice price. It has plenty of fruit, but the freshness and the balance are what make this work. It is a classic pink for a food and wine pairing, but it is balanced enough to drink well on its own too. Overall, this is lovely. It could use a bit more energy, but in this food-wine style, that’s not an issue. It might hold a few years, although that’s not the point. June 2021.
